I've been in a funk the past few days. I probably just need sleep, but aside from sleep, what are some of your favorite ways to pull out of feeling icky, yucky and generally depressed all over?
One of my favorite ways is too read a really good spirituallity type book. Wayne Dyer, Eckart Tolle, Esther and Jerry Hicks, are a few authors I like, there are so many good books and this helps me a lot, oh and of course yoga and meditation!
The very first thing I do is take my vitamins. It is amazing how much your body can respond to an imbalance. I quick fix for me is Jamba Juice with vitamins with a shot of Wheat Grass on the side (a lot of people can't stand the taste, but it doesn't bother me).
Adult Company...sometimes you just need to have some quiet time with someone beside the "regulars" in your life.
Honestly acess what really "has to be done" and what you "think you must do".
Above all, remember that you are an amazing person---stop those little conversations, that we all have with ourselves, that tell you any differently.
I'm 33, married to Trent, with three kids - birth mom to two (Mia and Bodhi) and stepmom to one (Delaney). I find strength, comfort and laughter when I am surrounded by family.

Love you,
Mom
Books by Byron Katie (especially A Thousand Names for Joy)really help me rise up when I'm down.
ReplyDeleteColoring (nice to veg out and just do something soothing if you need that)
Take a walk with a friend
Funny movies
Yoga class (you knew I'd say that too)
Exercise, in general
And acceptance....because sometimes we all just get in a funk.
Hugs,
Kewal
