Ramblings, Updates and Pictures!

Ok, so I really shouldn't be on here right now. First it's late - waking up at 5am is not an easy task for me. Second, if I could drag my sorry butt to bed, I might get as many as 6 hours of sleep all in a row but here I am! And lastly, it's Tuesday night, I'm working a full day tomorrow then racing out to meet a friend for the Coldplay concert tomorrow night and then waking up super-early to drive to Vegas for Thanksgiving on Thursday.

Now in my younger years this wouldn't have posed quite the problem because I would only have to pack for me, I would sleep as much or as little as I wanted without interruption and I could nap whenever I felt tired after a late night or early morning. But that's not the case anymore! I've got 3 people to pack for, kids to soothe in the night, a job and deadlines that require me to not only show up, but to also function. Yikes!

So, here's a toast to procrastination - the packing, cleaning and worrying about it all will have to happen late at night tomorrow - cheers!

Thanks and Sleep Updates

First off, thank you so much to everyone who responded to my call for help! I am always amazed and humbled at women's wisdom and this time was no different. Really, mothers are the most amazing people on the planet and I consider myself infinitely lucky to have such a wonderful support system in all of you :o). I tried just about everything and in the end used a nice combination of suggestions to find the solution.

So, after three nights of torture last week, we caved and took Bodhi to the doctor to make sure there wasn't something physically wrong we were missing. In short, he's perfect in every way - no ear infections, no digestive issues, no rare disease characterized by the symptoms I detailed in my previous blog post. Turns out we just needed to make some minor adjustments and now everyone is sleeping much, much better. We had one "off" day out of the last 5 so I'm hoping we've found the magical combination of nursing/mommy time, swaying and holding only in the dark (late night playdates are so last week!), cutting out one daytime nap and all of this without crying it out. Woo hoo! Just pray that it keeps working ;o).

And now on to more pictures! Here are some from tonight's camera download. It's so hard choosing which ones to post. I am a complete photo stockpiler. Enjoy and Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!
