So, why the request for prayers?
Well, although I heard about a local family involved in a plane crash recently, I did not read the entire story to understand the extent of their tragedy. Just minutes ago when we took a break from our picture-perfect family morning, I read an e-newsletter from my favorite yoga studio about a benefit for this family. As I read the details of their story and the terrible situation they are in, I was instantly in tears, unable to comprehend how this will affect each and every one of them. Below you will find details about their story as well as a fundraising event that will take place Sept. 21, 2008 in their honor. I plan on attending and encourage everyone who reads this to pass the information along and attend, or contact me if you are interested in sponsoring me for this yoga fundraiser. And whether or not you are able to attend, please keep this beautiful family in your prayers - the more we can send their way, the better!
Here is information about the Nielson Family as well as the upcoming fundraiser:

The following was taken from Stephanie & Christian's newly designed website to raise funds for their recovery: "On Saturday, August 16, 2008 Stephanie Nielson was in a plane crash with her husband, Christian Nielson, and his flight instructor, Doug Kinnear, near St. Johns, Arizona. Doug Kinnear passed away soon after arriving at the Maricopa County Hospital.
Christian & Stephanie remain in critical condition at Maricopa Burn Center. Christian has sustained burns on over 30% of his body. His wife Stephanie's body was burned over 80%.
For the past four years, Stephanie has welcomed us into her charming abode through the NieNie Dialogues. Far from being a product of creative editing, the Nielson's don't just shine through the selective lens of a blog. They are ingenuous examples of family devotion, eternal romance, and Christ centered faith."
The Nielson's have four children between the ages of 1 and 6. She is a fellow yogi and has brought the gift of yoga to many students who adore her. Their recovery is expected to last for months and cost millions of dollars. It is our turn to help Stephanie and her family in their time of need.
For more information on their recovery please visit her sister, Courtney's blog.

Inside The Bungalow (48 N. Robson Mesa, AZ 85201) will host our fundraiser on September 21st at 6am. You do not need to complete all 108 sun salutations to participate. Refreshments will be served afterward. There are two ways to donate.
1. Donate $20.00
2. Ask friends and family members to sponsor you. Set an amount for the sun salutations ($.10, $.50, $1.00, for each sun salutation. You could raise $108.00 or $1,008. You get the picture). ALL PROCEEDS WILL BENEFIT STEPHANIE, CHRISTIAN & THEIR FAMILY.
And if you would like to visit their recovery blog or to donate:
